Position Available: Rural Business and Resources Center Director

RURAL BUSINESS AND RESOURCES CENTER DIRECTOR


The Seminole State College Educational Foundation solicits applications for Rural Business and Resources Center (RBRC) Director to assist with economic development efforts throughout the College's service area of Seminole, Pottawatomie, Lincoln, Okfuske and Hughes Counties. Director will raise community awareness; identify business, technical and financial assistance needed and provide consultation and referral; assist with identifying and organizing training for current and potential small business owners; collect data and necessary paperwork for the RBRC program; present to community organizations and business and professional organizations on small business issues. Minimum of three years' experience working with business, city and county officials, legislators and tribal representatives, and/or related agencies in economic and community development. Knowledge of the five-county service area, and history of civic involvement essential to the position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, command of computer skills and people skills. Ability to work one-on-one and in group settings with a diverse population. Good public speaking skills. Work cooperatively as a member of a team but perform with minimal supervision. Project professionalism in appearance and behavior. Salary commensurate with education and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
